THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Cost Manager in Quantum, you will be the link to clients, project teams as well as contractors.
You’ll take part in the development of projects, ensuring the cost controls are implemented, and delivered in a timely and professional manner whilst simultaneously maintaining coordination between the client and other relevant partners.
Among other things you will be expected to:
- Prepare cost analysis based on drawings, engineering estimates, materials, and labor.
- Develop cost plans to guide design teams and liaise with architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
- Evaluate and negotiate tenders from contractors and subcontractors.
- Monitor project progress and manage budget control, including measuring and valuing variations, interim payments, and final accounts.
- Collaborate with the team to meet client requirements and deliver successful projects.
- Conduct monthly valuations, forecast final costs and sales, and provide advice on commercial and contractual matters.
- Commercial vetting of contractor tenders and contracts.
- Certification of contractor monthly valuations and final accounts.
- Communicate regularly with project staff and specialist subcontractors to ensure commercial controls are in place, understood and followed at all times.
- Produce accurate reports and monitor all commercial aspects of the project, ensuring adherence to budgets.
Your days will vary between desktop work, virtual meetings and in-person interactions, while you also from time to time will need to travel to meet the clients or contractors in person and construction sites where relevant. Since the projects we manage are different by nature, your regular working day will be different as well.
LOCATION

ABOUT YOU
As our ideal candidate…
- You have an academic background in engineering, quantity surveying, finance or a related construction management field, with 3-7 years of relevant experience in the industry. Ideally, you bring experience from a consultancy environment, with a strong focus on pre-contract cost management, budget control, and cost planning as a Cost Manager.
- You are someone who takes the initiative, consistently delivering high-quality work while prioritizing tasks and meeting strict deadlines. You pay close attention to detail and are thorough in your approach.
- As our projects span a variety of sectors, your ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization is key. You demonstrate empathy, strong teamwork, and communication skills, ensuring seamless cooperation.
- Like us, you are professional, proactive, and ambitious – constantly striving to develop your skills and be among the best in your field.
- Strong competences in written and spoken English are essential, while a working knowledge of Danish is a plus, though not required.
