As our new Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be the one responsible for a variety of projects, by performing the following primary tasks:
- Preparing detailed cost analyses based on architectural drawings, engineering specifications, evaluating materials required, and labor involved assisting design teams to produce practical designs for construction projects within budget.
- Creating tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
- Evaluating tenders from contractors and subcontractors and, where appropriate, negotiating with the contractors.
- Maintaining cost control through all stages of projects within predetermined budget and expenditure plans.
- Monitoring and keeping track of project progress, being responsible for the measurement and valuation of variations in the work during the contract, for agreement of interim payments and for the final account.
As a senior member of our team, you will also be asked to occasionally assist with other projects. Advise, brainstorm, and review your colleagues’ work, fostering the spirit of collaboration and knowledge-sharing across Quantum.
ABOUT YOU
As an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, you are a specialist in your field. You can independently deliver exceptional work. You are in the habit of taking accountability for your work and the work of those under your guidance. You can confidently communicate the results of your work to the clients, management, and colleagues, providing recommendations for follow-up tasks. You have a broad construction industry knowledge and, ideally, are familiar with the specificities of the Scandinavian markets.
