Quantity Surveyor

The Role

As our new Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for a variety of projects, performing the following primary tasks:

Developing cost plans to support design teams and ensure projects are developed within agreed budgets.

Liaising with architects, engineers, contractors and other project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.

Evaluating tenders from contractors and subcontractors and, where appropriate, supporting negotiations.

Maintaining cost control throughout all stages of projects within predetermined budgets and expenditure plans.

Monitoring project progress and managing the measurement and valuation of variations, interim payments and final accounts.

Preparing monthly valuations, forecasts and accurate cost and commercial reports.

Providing advice on commercial and contractual matters.

Reviewing contractor tenders and contracts from a commercial perspective and ensuring appropriate commercial controls are implemented and followed.

You will work closely with the wider Quantum team to meet client requirements and deliver successful projects. Depending on the assignment, your work will include a combination of office-based work, virtual meetings, client meetings and visits to construction sites.

About You

As an experienced Quantity Surveyor, you have a strong understanding of construction cost management and are capable of independently delivering high-quality work.

You have an academic background in engineering, quantity surveying, finance or another relevant construction management field, combined with approximately 3–7 years of relevant industry experience. Ideally, you have experience from a consultancy environment and a strong understanding of pre-contract cost management, budget control and cost planning.

You take initiative, are accountable for your work and are comfortable prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines. You have strong attention to detail and can communicate confidently with clients, colleagues and other project stakeholders.

As our projects span different sectors and project stages, you are adaptable and enjoy collaborating with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.

Strong written and spoken English is essential. A working knowledge of Danish is an advantage but is not required.
